On September 28, 2023, PPSI hosted a virtual event, The Future of Benefits: Emerging Opportunities & Innovations for Hispanic-Owned Businesses. During Hispanic Heritage Month, this virtual event examined trends in the healthcare market for small- and medium-sized employers. The event featured an expert panel discussion on the unique challenges and opportunities in expanding healthcare coverage among Hispanic business owners and their employees, including the fix for the “family glitch," new health reimbursement arrangement options, the Inflation Reduction Act, and enrollment in the Marketplace. The webinar highlighted the evolution of the employer market and new choices in the small and medium-sized market for small business owners. On Monday, May 15, 2023, PPSI hosted a virtual event, The Future of Benefits: Opportunities in Healthcare Benefits for Small Businesses. During National Small Business Month, this virtual event examined trends in the healthcare market for small- and medium-sized employers. Building a Better America: A Small Business Resource Community (BBA Community) connects small businesses with critical resources and information, including how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, American Rescue Plan, and Made in America create opportunities to help your small business thrive!


The Community also features a series of free briefings and trainings to help small businesses access and utilize these resources to grow their business and create great jobs. These briefings convene respected leaders from across business, government, advocacy, and economic development to discuss:


  • Steps you can take now to learn and take advantage of existing programs that are available at the U.S. Small Business Administration & other agencies;


  • Updates regarding programs and recent policy announcements, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, American Rescue Plan and Made in America;


  • Discussion on important, timely policy issues, including paid leave, the earned income tax credit, the child tax credit, access to affordable childcare, hiring and retaining workers, and health care access and cost; 


  • Your questions, answered by SBA Leadership & small business experts.
